DeM Training for Trainers 2020 was organized within the framework of the project named Dialogue for Non-formal Education, which DeM Experiential Training Center is the manager of within the scope of the EU Civil Society Dialogue V Program.
The first implementation of the Experiential Learning Training of Trainers Program of the Non-formal Education Dialogue Project which is the scope of The Ministry of Education’s Non- Formal Education Programs was realized.
The project’s training of trainers, which is aimed to develop trainer competencies in the experiential learning methodology of Non-formal Education Trainers, took place in Istanbul between February 23 and March 01, 2020.
In the training; 25 participants from academia, formal education and civil society field took part.
Our equipped trainers provided information to our participants through sessions such as teamwork, experiential learning cycle, experiential learning methodology, and learning styles. The participants also held practice sessions in order to improve their instructor competencies.
In our practice sessions, our participants began to develop experiential learning-based methods with citizenship competence from 8 key competencies that already have a course program in public education centers.
